Carney’s road Alford forest just outside of Methven

This is NOT for the fainthearted, this will test your truck and stamina to the limit!!

Being held 20km west of Methven, we will have the pits and scrutineering at the site. The course is approx 7.5km long circuit with up to 10 bonus deviations to test teams, made up of fast flowing areas, some rough terrain, possible winch walls, Valleys, rocks and mud.

We will be doing 2 x 2.5 hour enduros  with a repair break in between

Friday 2pm

  • Scrutineering
  • Course open for truck testing and inspecting the course
  • Camping available on site

Saturday

  • 8:30am Grid up
  • 9:30am Drivers briefing
  • 10:00am 1st race start
  • 12:30pm 1st race finish / lunch start
  • 1:20pm Drivers briefing
  • 1:30pm 2nd race start
  • 3:30pm 2nd race finish
  • 4:00pm Prize giving

It is first entered and paid, first off the grid. So get your entry’s in.

If you do not pass scrutineering then you will be refunded

Truck

In addition to NZ 4wd Enduro Challenge Rule Book 2024 you will also need

  • A Horn
  • A Flashing blue rear tail light
  • A Headlight
  • Rear vision mirror or rear camera system
  • A roll over valve on your fuel breather
  • Window nets
  • Cotton or race overalls
  • Neck brace 
  • Window screen or goggles 
  • Horn With out a doubt the louder the better as it will be easier to warn vehicles that you catch up to that you want to pass
  • Flashing Rear Tail Light A minimum of one flashing BLUE tail light, this can be a push bike unit.
  • Headlight A minimum of one forward facing light to warn vehicles in front of you that you are behind them
  • Rear vision mirror or camera system Whether internal or external so you or your navigator can see vehicles approaching from behind. 
  • Roll over valve on fuel tank breather This can be a simple valve with a ball inside it to stop fuel from escaping if the worst happens and you roll over
  • Window nets These can be attached to either roll cages or the window frame of your door, these are to stop your arms from escaping the vehicle in case you have a roll.
  • Cotton overalls 100% cotton overalls is the minimum, proper race overalls are suggested
  • Neck brace (for your own safety) This is to fit snugly between your helmet and shoulders
